We are in search of a friendly and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team! This entry-level role provides administrative and secretarial support to the department and interacts with a diverse group of important external callers and visitors.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Schedules and organizes appointments, meetings, travel, conferences, and department activities.
  • Orders all office supplies monthly, and maintains all equipment.
  • Establishes, develops, maintains and updates filing system.
  • Acts as a liaison with Human Resources.
  • Maintains daily and monthly schedule for all necessary staff to determine location and availability.
  • Organizes and prioritizes large volumes of information and calls and takes detailed messages.
  • Completes typing and copying as needed for management staff.
  • Opens, sorts and distributes mail.
  • Checks fax machine and distribute faxes to appropriate persons.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 2 years’ administrative experience.
  • Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Ability to communicate efficiently with individuals from all levels of the organization.
  • Valid Driver’s License

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to move or handle mail bins generally weighing no more than 15 pounds.
  • Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching, climbing, and prolonged periods of sitting.
  • Minimal hazards, general office working conditions.
