Job Description

The Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) uses best practices within a community-based setting to support our individuals to live as independently as possible. This individual must be able to efficiently conduct trainings in a public environment, exercise patience, work a flexible schedule, and respond to crisis situations effectively.

Job Responsibilities:

  • One on One observation and interaction with consumers.
  • Conducts functional behavioral assessments and analyses.
  • Develops individualized prevention and treatment plans (goals, objectives, and interventions) and monitors progress towards goals.
  • Training of staff on implementation of plans.
  • Participates in Circle(s) of Support for personal future planning.
  • Prepares progress reports for consumer's immediate support group, including their family and/or guardian, staff, employment specialist, case manager, and other professionals.
  • Writes and approves Behavior Plans for individuals in the supports program.
  • Supports the behavior supports that the current behaviorists are giving.
  • Serves as an active member of each person’s Inter-Disciplinary Team (IDT), which includes involvement in Individual Habilitation Plan development and ISP.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • BCBA Certification from the state of employment required.
  • Master’s Degree in behavioral analysis, psychology, or related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in the development and implementation of behavioral support plans.
  • Knowledge of Positive Behavioral Supports.
  • Ability to conduct Functional Behavioral Assessments.
  • Ability to collect, interpret, and graph data.
  • Understanding and commitment to community based support for persons with disabilities.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds (weight of average manual wheelchair when chair is empty)
  • Work will take place in the administrative office, community, and in the homes.
