Job Description

The Coordinator of Program Services manages all local staff recruitment and hiring of support staff. This role ensures that interviewing and hiring procedures comply with state and federal laws regarding employment practices. This individual is also responsible for compliance of staff trainings for the local office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the local staff recruitment and development efforts.
  • Facilitates New Hire Orientation, processing paperwork, reference and background checks.
  • Makes final hiring decisions for direct care applicants.
  • Ensures new hires meet eligibility requirements and regulations.
  • Oversees HRIS system workflows, including submissions and approvals of documents to ensure timeliness and accuracy.
  • Maintains and continuously audits all training documentation, ensuring compliance with state and company requirements. May conduct in-house training.
  • Represents Community Options at community informational/educational events including job fairs.
  • May manage one or more administrative staff. If applicable, manages performance and completes staff evaluations.
  • Cooperate with internal and State inspections and investigations.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree plus two years’ experience in a related field OR
    • High school diploma with four years’ experience in related field, in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge and understanding of local regulatory agency operations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and sensitivity regarding all employment matters.
  • Understanding and commitment to community based support for persons with disabilities.
  • Flexibility to work effectively with people at a variety of levels, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
  • Valid Driver's License.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift 20 pounds.
  • Work will take place in general office working conditions and in community and residential settings.
