Job Description

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states.  We believe in the dignity of every person, and in the freedom of all people to experience the highest degree of self-determination.

We are seeking a Part-Time Licensed Clinical Psychologist uses best practices and technology within a community based setting to assist, train and supervise individuals with developmental disabilities in the activities of daily living and socialization skills. 

Psychologist Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual and/or group counseling to people with disabilities either at home, in the community, or in the office.
  • Administer all necessary psychological testing.
  • Collect and analyze behavioral data on residents and presents, results to appropriate individuals.
  • Perform clinical screening and referral of all conditions in need of consultation from medical, non-psychiatric specialties.
  • Review and follow up on treatment(s) ordered by other physicians.
  • Write, monitor, and coordinate behavior management plans.
  • Document progress/data in medical record utilizing objective, measurable methods.
  • Provide training to people with disabilities, family members, guardians, and support staff.
  • Participate in Circle(s) of Support for personal futures planning.
  • Ensure consistent service delivery, connecting work, home and recreational needs.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology or a related field required.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in community mental health.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible schedule as determined by supervisor.
  • Work will take place in the community and in the homes.
