Job Description

The Licensed Clinical Psychologist uses best practices and technology within a community based setting to assist, train and supervise individuals with developmental disabilities in the activities of daily living and socialization skills. 

This is a Per-Diem position.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides individual and/or group counseling to people with disabilities either at home, in the community, or in the office.
  • Administers all necessary psychological testing.
  • Collects and analyzes behavioral data on residents and presents, results to appropriate individuals.
  • Performs clinical screening and referral of all conditions in need of consultation from medical, non-psychiatric specialties.
  • Reviews and follows up on treatment(s) ordered by other physicians.
  • Writes, monitors, and coordinates behavior management plans.
  • Documents progress/data in medical record utilizing objective, measurable methods.
  • Provides training to people with disabilities, family members, guardians, and support staff.
  • Participates in Circle(s) of Support for personal futures planning.
  • Ensures consistent service delivery, connecting work, home and recreational needs.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Master’s Degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in community mental health.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with individuals with disabilities.
  • Crisis management skills.
  • Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with a person receiving support.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Working Conditions:

  • Flexible schedule as determined by supervisor.
  • Work will take place in the community and in the homes.
