We are seeking a Part-Time Physical Therapist for our Red Ribbon Medical Day program in Hillsborough, NJ! The Physical Therapist is responsible for providing rehabilitation services to our consumers.

Red Ribbon Academy’s Medical Day Program provides medical, therapeutic and recreational supports to Individuals with Developmental Disabilities. We offer innovative medical supports that are created to assist with improving the quality of life of the individuals we support.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for providing Rehabilitating Services to our individuals.
  • Evaluate consumers, create physical treatment plans, and ensure the implementation of the plan.
  • Responsible for training staff on all plans.
  • Ensure that all consumers' adaptive equipment are operable.
  • Serve as an active member of each person’s Inter-Disciplinary Team (IDT), which includes involvement in Individual Habilitation Plan development.
  • Prepare progress reports for consumer's immediate support group.
  • Ensure that staff are documenting accurately and current physical therapy plans are being implemented, to ensure our consumer’s overall needs are being met.
  • Comply with all internal and state regulations and participate in all inspections and investigations.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Home Community Based Service or related field. 
  • Knowledge and understanding of local regulatory agency operations.
  • Understanding and commitment to community based support for persons with disabilities.
  • Valid Driver's License. 

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds (weight of average manual wheelchair when chair is empty).
  • Frequent lifting, stretching, and other physical exertion during positioning of consumers or equipment.
  • May perform tasks that involve exposure to various medical conditions, communicable diseases, blood, bloody fluids, or tissues.
  • Work will take place in the administrative office, community, and in the homes.
