Job Description

We are actively seeking an experienced Program Manager who will be responsible for the supervision and oversight of our Direct Support Professionals and our Regional Programs.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Direct Support Professional staff, including, but not limited to, staff evaluations, monitoring and scheduling required staff training, seminars, and conferences.
  • Oversees the residential budget and work with staff schedules to ensure overtime stays within guidelines.
  • Responsible for scheduling Direct Support Professionals and covering shift’s as necessary.
  • Monitors fiscal, medical, personal and ISP documentation to ensure accuracy.
  • Serves as an active member of each person’s Inter-Disciplinary Team (IDT), which includes involvement in Individual Habilitation Plan development.
  • Submits monthly written reports to the appropriate individuals outlining operational status, progress, and concerns.
  • Prepares progress reports for consumer's immediate support group, including their family and/or guardian, staff, employment specialist, case manager, and other professionals including monthly and Quarterly reviews.
  • Ensures that staff is documenting accurate and current plans accurately, to ensure the consumer’s overall needs are being met, i.e. employment, recreational, emotional.
  • Presents problems and recommends any necessary changes in current policy and procedures to the Residential Coordinator.
  • Make recommendations to the Residential Coordinator for the development of current and future programs.
  • Consults with Management Team regarding attendance, punctuality, timesheet documentation, etc., relating to appropriate staff evaluations.
  • May serve as train-the-trainer for various trainings.
  • Reviews all direct support staff timecards in accordance with the payroll schedule.
  • Ensures all staff scheduling in homes, including approval of Paid Time Off, tracking absenteeism, etc., and communicates any issues or concerns to the Residential Coordinator and Executive Director.
  • Develops and maintains a functioning PRN staff availability contact log to ensure minimum overtime
  • Monitors and maintains current employee status on all PRN staff.
  • Meets with the Weekend On-Call Manager on a weekly basis (each Friday, if possible) to provide updated information and weekend schedules.
  • Ensures minimal amounts of overtime and submits overtime tracking data on a weekly basis to the Residential Coordinator and Executive Director. 
  • Complies with all internal and state regulations and participates in all inspections and investigations.
  • Must be available/on-call 24/7 as needed to ensure supervision of staff and health/safety of individuals served.

Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • A minimum of 2 years experience in Residential, Home Community Based Service or related healthcare field.
  • Knowledge and understanding of state/local regulations.
  • Understanding and commitment to community-based support for persons with disabilities.
  • Proven leadership and professionalism when assisting internal and external customers.
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Valid Driver's License

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent lifting, stretching, and other physical exertion during positioning of consumer or equipment
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds (average weight of an empty wheelchair)
  • May occasionally assist with wheelchair transfer or non-ambulatory participants
  • May be on-call 24 hours a day, in cooperation with other management staff
  • Work will take place in the community and in the homes
