Job Description

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states.  We believe in the dignity of every person, and in the freedom of all people to experience the highest degree of self-determination.

Community Options is actively seeking an experienced Program Manager who will be responsible for providing relevant vocational programming in both a community and facility based environment. This position is out of our Hamilton, NJ location.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and maintains program expenses and petty cash.
  • Monitors and schedules required staff trainings. 
  • Monitors medical, personal, and Individual Habilitation Plan (IHB) documentation to ensure accuracy. 
  • Active member of each individual's support network. 
  • Monitors and schedules facility and vehicle maintenance. 
  • Builds a support network between the individuals and community members.
  • Monitors each individual's progress notes, daily training records, and relevant documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness. 
  • Serves as an active member of each individual's Inter-Disciplinary Team (IDT).
  • Completes staff evaluations.
  • Submits monthly written reports to the Executive Director/Regional Director outlining operational status, progress, and concerns.
  • Submits Division of Developmental Disabilities monthly report to Executive Director/Regional Director.
  • May perform the duties of Community Support Staff as necessary, in accordance with current staffing needs. 
  • Cooperates with internal and State inspections and investigations.

 Knowledge/Skills Required:

  • Associate's Degree in related field plus 1 year of work experience, OR
    • High School Diploma/GED plus 3 years' related work experience
  • Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Valid Driver's License. 

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent lifting, stretching, and other physical exertion during positioning of consumers or equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs (average weight of manual wheelchair).
  • Transports participants in own vehicle if necessary. 
  • Work will take place in the community and at the program facility. 
  • Flexible schedule, as determined by supervisor.
