Job Description

Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states. 

The Training Coordinator is responsible for maintaining compliance with regulations for staff trainings for the local office(s). This role will also develop and conduct training programs and maintain records of training for employees of Community Options, Inc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of related work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
  • Ability to work effectively with employees from all levels of the organization.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish, develop, maintain and update training tracking spreadsheet and record-keeping system.
  • Maintain current list of employee certifications. Notify employees when certifications are due for renewal.
  • Coordinate training logistics, including assigning required training materials in Relias, managing training material, tracking attendance sheets, and handling training room schedule.
  • Maintain and audits all training documentation, ensuring compliance with state and company requirements. May conduct in-house trainings.
  • Coordinate with Staffing Coordinator and Executive Director to schedule new hire orientation and may support new hire processes, including background checks and interviews.
  • Communicate non-compliance of required training to the Executive Director and notifies employees to resolve the issue in a timely manner.
  • Maintain trainer certifications in the following areas: Crisis Intervention, CPR/First Aid, and other certifications deemed necessary by the Executive Director.
  • Update training to meet ongoing needs.
  • Schedule and conduct training sessions covering specified areas, such as, new employee orientation, on-the-job training, consumer service, safety practices, and leadership development.
